Yes, it will. It's outsold PS2 by the same time and people are still DESPERATELY trying to find one. Not to mention it looks like this year is the start of great TP support.

 I'd agree with that. Even if sales do drop off, I can't see them dropping off so much that it can't at least break 100 million sold. Though, everyone I know has a Wii, except for me.  o_O

I think gamecube syndrome is still possible even with this popularity, but I think it'll be close. I personally don't think Nintendo will leave the system out there long enough to catch the PS2 (which is still putting up great numbers, considering one of the nextgen systems is basically in it's third year). I think the Wii will be the most interesting console to watch, I can say that much.

At this stage its hard to say. The PS2 is still very competitive well into this generation and just won't go away. I expect it to stay around for quite some time with its recent emphasis on the casual market. Will the Wii stick around for as long? I'm not so sure, but if it does, I think it will overtake PS2.
