Is that just meant to be satire or is it linked to Peta's Pokemon Black and Blue?

I was expecting a round 2 from PETA against pokemon.

I've always wondered, do they eat meat in the pokemon world? Isn't all real world animals replaced by pokemon? Do they only eat fruits and vegetables then.

My guess, if I'm not overthinking a children's game, is that there are two kinds of organic beings on the pokémon world - pokémons themselves, who are magical and share the same genetic code (yes, for real) and standard non-magical animals who encompass humans and dogs and whatever.

Team Rocket sold SlowPoke Tales in Gold and Silver. (Same with HeartGold and SoulSilver.) So... most likely, yes. (However, in the Anime, I don't think you ever see anyone eat anything even remotely resembling a Pokemon.)

@Title; I thought this was going to be about how Pokemon are demonic and they teach kids demonic ideals. Thank goodness it wasn't!

Yes they have, a lot of times (or at least an episode i remotely remember) Magikarps have been served on tables cut with salad and stuff, in like some kind of fancy dinner or party. I'll try to find a pic
