They had two this generation as far as I'm aware.  Joanna Dark and Kameo.

I don't know if women are the new core or not but having games that target all audiences is great.  I'd say all companies of the big publishers and developers have been doing a good job at this. Although I'd argue to say that women core gamers are looking for the same experiences as male core gamers.  I have a lot of girl gamers that play with me, and I know girl gamers in person and they get excited just like males.

Those are launch games aren't they? Microsot ditched them since they didn't sell well. Doens't this kinda go against the "women are the new core" argument?

Not to mention I never heard of kameo, not even in these forums. Perfect dark I remember reading about it when it came out on n64, have no idea it came out for the Xbox.

Also I don't own the system cause I chose not to and as a female gamer should have a say in this. I want to play good games and like jay said its not about playing a female, I love my oldschool ff games where the protagonists are male. Cloud, squall, zidane. As long as its a good story I'm in.

I don't know about that. Call of Duty 2 sold pretty well and it encouraged sequels which in then turned this franchise into the biggest video game this generation. No, shooters aren't the exeption to the rule. Perfect Dark Zero is a shooter and that failed to break 1m sales. There can only be 1 reason why Perfect Dark and Kameo both flopped. The lead characters are women.

Final Fantasy doesn't count. You only played those games becuase the lead characters look like women.
