Well I did not see a thread on this so I thought us Aussies could have a general thread were we discuss the following:

  • Games that have sold out during launch week/period.
  • Discount sales.
I'll start the ball rolling. I went game shopping on Thursday 28/03/2012

 

EB Games Swanston Street Melbourne
Wii U
- Monster Hunter 3 sold out (i got the last copy)
- NFS Most Wanted had a few copies left
3DS
- Monster Hunter 3 was sold out before I got there
- Luigi's Mansion 2 sold out before I got there.

 

JB Hi-Fi Burke Street Melbroune
3DS
- Luigi's Mansion 2 managed to pick up a copy had a few left.
Wii U
- Monster Hunter 3 had a few copies left.
X360
- Tomb Raider sellling very well indeed, I got the 5th last copy in Victoria for the limited edition one.

 

DISCOUT SALES:
EB Games atm has 2 for $40, 2 for $50 and $2 for $90 sale.
JB Hi-Fi has a few minro sales of older games.

offcourse there are alternatives online, i.e from UK. But are you going to wait 14-21days to play a game everyone else is playing right now.

The saving is only $10-$30 depending on the game.

JB have 20% off all games online today only, some big games like Tomb Raider are only $55. good thrad btw

Or you can opt for Cd keys resellers and play them on PC the same time as everyone else at half the price.

I usually buy from Jb hifi now. New games are $69 or tops $79 when eb usually prices start at $79. I buy from a website that ships from the UK on occasion though. I picked up Mass Effect 3 about a month after it was released for an awesome $35.

I'm not sure on rules about posting that sort of site so until someone asks for it I won't post it. They sell merchandise too like the website that is linked to this one so yeah....
