Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft keeping developers quite about future PS4 titles? (metal Gear/Battlefield)

So am I the only person who thinks Microsoft are throwing money at publishers so they withhold from revealing more PS4 titles ahead of the New Xbox's reveal. Specifically I'm refering to Battlefield 4 and MSGV.

Both games are obviously targeted for higher end systems then PS3/360. BF4 for PS4 has been leaked by some Dice employees who seemingly didn't get the memo, alongside Gamestop.

Metal Gear solid 5 is currently being run on PC, yet no PC version has been announced. No surprise as the franchise has never been on that platform, but it is more or less confirmation that what we saw is likely  a next gen version of the game (in spite of the very current gen/lowres fire effects seen in the gameplay demo)

The intention on Microsofts side of thing would be to limit the momentum the PS4 gains before the new Xbox is annouced. Already games  like Watchdogs are being advertise on youtube videos as PS4 titles (even though its multiplat), and likes of Witcher 3 are being tauted as a PC, PS4 title, which is strengthening the playstation brand but dimishing to microsofts. Of course developers cannot out the new xbox so must either alude to it through the generic "coming to next gen consoleS" or skip is inclusion altogether leaving games to look like ps4 exclusives (next-gen consoles exclusive). Neither is helpful but they can at least stop the PS4 from being mentioned.

Random thought: There were rumours about a EA/Microsoft partnership, which also reinforce my beliefs. With all the talk regarding the new xbox being always online and blocking used game, who would be surprised if the worlds biggest publisher was actually the driving force behind this. They  are after all, the ones would be would benefit most from blocking used games.

It's also very possible that they want to wait until E3 to do a large blowout on PS4.

I don't know. I'd rather have them throw money at full exclusives (Not year-timed exclusives) for their console rather than throwing it just for marketing, though.

You're probably not the "only."

Just like there's always more than one conspiracy nut out there.

There is nothing better for a conspirator than 100% full stupid sheeps that belief that there are no conspiracies at all and that they are impossible.

You can do with them whatever you want-they won't realise it.They are so dumbed down that they even can't realise a conspiracy even if the conspiracy is 100% proven.

there are many examples of intel, microsoft,GE,edison vs tesla, bilderberger, bohamian grove, the phoebus cartell, libor scandal, iraq war lie,CIA drug smuggling(air america)US government giving guns to mexican drug cartels(fast and furious) Al Qaida created by Cia/mi5/sis(100% proven)proving conspiracy techniques but a sheep is immune to enlightment.

Topiic:

Microsoft has paid for a lousy kinect more than 500million on advertising.

How much will they invest in a complete new console?I think 2 billion and 500 million will be paid for that thing microsoft is best in:Buying and destroying competition with money-I think they are going to buy madden and fifa exclusiv for one year or to.

If they really try to establish stupid things like always online whilst gaming, banning used games, big brother kinect (i don't think they will as there were several similar rumours about ps4,but they were not true)they need things to convince/force people to buy their system and to pay for always online.Than you need exclusives:the most expensive - the most wanted. Most people are not willing to lose 300-500 bucks each and every year by not being able to sell games.Buying 15 games a year and selling them again(to buy new games)=losing 300-500dollar year after year after year

microsoft is not keeping the developers quiet, they are quiet because they won't release their games on ps4

Uh.. no? What would MS stand to gain from this? Any supposed momentum gained by PS4 getting some multiplatform titles could be erased with a phenomenal Nextbox showing.

Always a few nuts out there.

No, I don't feel that Microsoft is throwing around money to keep games from leaking. I'm sure these developers/publishers just signed a non-disclosure agreement. Of course there will still be leaks though...

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
