Putting such harsh limitations on yourself doesn't make a game hard. It's like me claiming FFX is so hard because you can do a "No Sphere Grid" playthrough.

That's not how it works though. You have a normal or standard difficulty for a reason. The game is designed to be played using that difficulty. Harder difficulties are included to give reason for second or third playthroughs.
Very much expected. I hope someone can bring SE around this generation.

Yes, it's almost like putting an MMO on the Wii was a bad idea. Who'd a thunk it?

Wada : It isn't possible to have towns and stuff cause to much work |
Wow entitled much? LOL. There's nothing special about the PS4 architecture, it's a mid-tier PC in a box, if they can make a PS4 version, there should be 720 and PC versions too and I think their new management will see it that way too. It will add at least 1-2 million each to franchises like FF and KH.
The 720 and PS4 are much more alike than the PS3 and 360 were.
Nomura has gone downhill in general, I doubt Wade told him to take like 8 years to work on FFVersusXIII. No CEO does that. If anything they need a new CEO to crack the whip and not let bullcrap like that go on forever.

It's sold quite well considering it's an MMO, far faster than FFXI did on PS2.
They'll get their 4 million sales with Dragon Quest XI on 3DS anyway, everyone knows that.

That's just your opinion though. If games were 'designed' to be played on a standard difficulty first games wouldn't let you choose your difficulty at the beginning of the game. |
Most games only allow standard/normal or easy. The inclusion of the ability to change it to something more difficult doesn't take away from the very definition or a normal difficulty.

Let me use this as an excuse to start the blame game.
Lot's of hard feelings for the guy but what exactly is he to blame for ?
Final Fantasy XIII being ported to the Xbox 360. A move that rewarded Square with death threats and an ambiguous outcome:
People will argue that a lot have gone wrong with Square but my take is that this is one of the most important issues.
So, is Yoichi Wada to blame for porting the game to the bro console ?

Dragon Quest X should have been Dragon Quest X instead of Dragon Quest Online. It's mindboggling that they attempted the MMO route with such a Japanese-centric IP. Had they put DQX as it is on the Wii, PS3, 360, Wii U and PC, it still wouldn't have been a success. Final Fantasy XI worked, because FF is a strong brand on a worldwide basis. Exactly what you need for an online game, because online gaming is such a niche in Japan. |
Yep, true. Dragon Quest X shouldnt have been an MMO. As it was though, the game simply shouldnt have been released as a Wii exclusive. Maybe 2-3 Years earlier, not in 2012. The platform simply wasnt strong enough at the time of release.
