Forums - PC Discussion - Windows 8, finally up and running. Thanks VGC.

How do I have Pandora radio running in IE and keep it playing when I minimize the window like I did with Vista, XP, etc...?How do I get it to look like the windows of old because I really dislike this new style, as does my fiance.   Thanks.

This makes me feel like MS forgets there is a reason I bought a laptop and not a tablet.

Now I am posting and it won't let me go back and edit my post so I can make separate paragraphs.

I am soooo confused...

Well, nobody knows ("WTF is this" part). I am afraid I don't have the answer to your question but before upgrading to W8 I tried on another computer and decided not to do it. I suggest everyone to check it out before buying it.

I didn't have much choice since my new laptop came with Windows 8.

Anyways, I also have issues with these forums. When trying to post or edit a post I can't highlight and drag or do just about anything...

This is totally frustrating.

You'd have to manually install the regular windows start menu interface. You can find steps on it using google. But it's a pain in the butt. You only other option is to get windows 7. And erase 8.

I am seriously having issues doing any sort of Rich Text Reply or Editing of posts...

Haven't had such a poor forum experience on VGChartz since using an Android, lol.

Sadly I don't think there's any way to get it to be like Win7 without hacks.

I just bought a laptop with Win7 on it. Because Dell, HP etc. refused to do so I went with a custom provider, and it ended up being cheaper and it came with a good SSD..

Using IE is one of your problems. Also, don't forget, you don't have to use the "app" version of programs. You can still download the classic versions that you used before. For instance, I still use the classic Chrome, cause I just wasn't a huge fan of the "app" version missing a few features. I can't stand the skype app, so I still use the classic version.

As for complaining about the interface, c'mon. You realize the ONLY difference is in Windows 8, instead of the start button on the bottom left, there's just nothing there. If you click there, it goes to...wala, the start menu (which can be customized really well), not to mention you can always just type for whatever you're looking for and will find it via that method.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

Okay, just figured out how to get Pandora to run after minimizing. Now maybe I just need to use something other than IE to solve this forum issue. I don't know.

Why couldn't they have just left Windows alone? lol

Thanks. Just installed Chrome and I am not having the forum issues anymore.

My fiance also just figured out the part about the bottom left of the screen and changing everything to a style similar to the old one and it is much better now.

I also did not realize that my laptop had a tile for that desktop.
