Exactly what me, Kresnik and other people predicted 2 weeks ago, moreso last week.

People were really bigging up the Vita sales and the previous thread got over 100 posts in an hour, claiming outlandish things like Vita is saved, SS is the next Monster Hunter, Vita over 60k this week etc., whilst we claimed that this was a bad move and one which would only produce retaliation comments because of the outlandish nature of the predictions. This seems to be the case.

Whilst the Vita and SS drop is disappointing, it is expected.

Also it only has 65 posts.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

oh, Guess after Vita beating 3DS last week lol. I thought SS will at least do 60-70k, and hardware of 45-50k! Oh well i think it'll increase next week, and 3DS should bloom alot as well(way more of course)

so when do the releases dry up for the Vita in Japan so we can get a proper measure of where the new floor is?

Yeah. Unfortunately I guess we won't have to wait long looking at the release schedule.

One piece this week after that basically there's just Dragon's crown back end of July and a few minor releases until winter.

Tsutaya does not disappoint.

That's a pretty good hold for the Vita actually, selling about 60% as much as right after the price cut, on its third week. It compares very favourably to other price cuts in Japan. One Piece and Muramasa are coming in the next couple of weeks, hopefully it'll stay above 30k and then level off at around 20k. Not much on the horizon after April bar FFX though, so we'll see.

The rest, same as usual. Pretty big discrepancy for WiiU between both trackers (percentage-wise).

paranoia is thinking that this thread is quiet when it has 1/4th as many posts as last weeks within 4 hours. Lets see how many posts this thread has a week from now. I wouldnt be surprised if it's less but I wouldn't attribute that to Vita's drop off I would attribute that to last week Vita sustaining sales and more to talk about with SS launch.

This week is more boring than last week and also very expected and typical.

To answer your question Kowenicki, I expect the Vita to settle around the 20k mark. You say third parties won't be happy with that? ell considering that is Sonys problem not theirs I doubt they will care. They will look at their software sales which I'm sure the Vita will be able to have healthy sales and make 3rd parties happy ven at 20k per week

I think Vita may bottom out near the old floor if it has no new releases and 3DS is getting Monster Hunter 4.
