lol anyone find it funny that the guys who say they aren't impressed are all nintendo fans?

ot looks nice

Im not impressed and yes i am a Nintendo fan, not to be confused with Nintendo fan boy. Any logical thinking person would admit it looks like current gen.

how can i take you seriously when you just said that?

You have to take me seriously now because i just read the description in the videos that it is also running on PS3 Xbox360 and Wii U as well as PS4. The title of this thread is misleading. It looks current gen because current gen is capable of it from what i have seen and read in the video description.

"With the recent PlayStation®4 announcements from Sony, and the wealth of new platforms discussed at CES, Geomerics has now extended runtime support to an ever increasing list of platforms -- everything from latest Windows PC, Mac and Linux machines, to the PlayStation®4, to current generation consoles such as the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PS Vita, to mobile platforms running iOS and Android. They achieved this by keeping the runtime lightweight and optimising it for performance on every platform."

this demo is just running on ps4. they mentioned the 360, ps3, WiiU, and vita as platforms there technology is compatible with. not that this demo is running on the ps3, 360 or WiiU. so yes, i still dont take you seriously

Ok then keep telling yourself that it makes no difference to me. Notice its only all the die hard Sony fanboys agreeing with you here? This is a stunning PS4 lighting DEMO right? Thats laughable.

quick to assume that i, and all other sony fans think its amazing huh? its clear you got your own agenda when you entered this thread. its clear as day that that demo looks better than current gen, yet somehow you still deny it and try to downplay it

I have my own agenda when i entered this thread? I thought i entered cause i wanted to see a PS4 demo. Mind explaining to me in detail what makes this demo next gen?

Also i read the video description again just to make sure i was not going crazy:

("With this release, we really focused on simplifying the creation of high-quality lighting for artists working on games across any type of platform," said Geomerics' head of development, Dr. Graham Hazel.) They then went on to list the platforms.

Why did you leave out the first part? It looks current gen because its possible on current gen. Who should i believe you or the people that made the engine?

the technology works on all of the platforms, the result (the video) cant be done on the ps3, its that simple. they can run the same demo, but it wont look the same. its really that simple. the people who made the engine are saying this. the level of detail, textures, lighting, resolution of textures cant be dont on current gen consoles. its why the video is tittled "next generation of lighting technology".

"Im not impressed and yes i am a Nintendo fan, not to be confused with Nintendo fan boy. Any logical thinking person would admit it looks like current gen."

this is your second comment in this thread. then you went on and said this "Notice its only all the die hard Sony fanboys agreeing with you here? This is a stunning PS4 lighting DEMO right? Thats laughable." when i did not voice on opinion on how good or bad the video looks. and you also labeled everybody who apperantly called this video stunning or very good looking as sony fanboys. you then say false claims that this is running on ps3/360/WiiU by saying the description of the video says so, which is untrue and i showed it to you in my previous post.

your intentions are clear, stop arguing and trying to make an argument out of nothing or i will report you for calling people who liked this video sony fanboys, if you dont like the ps4 its fine by me, i dont really care. if you have an opinion say it, but dont try to start arguments in my thread. i am done replying to you as i find it a waste of my time

its not just about the lighting demo. its about honour, pride and dignity. its about everything important in life, everything you care of. you should be jumping out of your seat now, grabing hold of your sword and armor and running out the door to fight against those who would rob you everything that you hold dear and love

The PS4 does not even exist how can i decide if i dislike it yet? I had an opinion and stated it and YOU attacked ME stating you cant take me serious because of my OPINION. Now youre defensive cause posted a part you probably deliberately left out and proved a point? Do whatever you like, go ahead and report me for stating my opinion. Im sticking to what i said because what i saw was nothing i have not seen from this gen. I didnt list anyone specifically and im not referring to everyone that agreed with you. Like it or not there are Sony loyalist on these forums just like any other loyalist to other companies and i dont need to list them all to know who they are. Same old nonsense here everyday.....people pretending to be neutral with obvious double standards. Harsh reality, so go report me to get banned nothing will change.

Looks good

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Show me a game in 360 and PS3 with those real time lighting.

Nothing revolutionary, but it looks decent.

it does look nice yes!

Switch!!!

Anything that eases development and/or makes it cheaper is good news for everyone. Looks good, there's still a long way to go in real-time rendering and animations, as well as particle effects textures and basically everything else, I'll never understand those who always claim that we have "come far enough" in developing visuals.
