Forums - Gaming Discussion - EA CEO John Riccitiello Steps Down

Don't really know the guy, but EA s***s so I guess he does too as he's it's leader. I won't shed a tear.

Realistically, he's probably fired because of a streak of bad decisions. SimCity was just the final straw. Then you had the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle, some nice bad press there. The biggest mistake however was The Old Republic, spending like $200million on the game and then nobody played it.

I hope bioware continues to be good and i hope they dont fuck them.

Uhh, Hate to break it to you, but Bioware stopped being good some time ago and has been thoroughly fucked.

IN YOUR OPINION maibe but they are my favourite devs and the games they made are the best this gen produced.

They made that star wars mmo and that was a fail and a big one the other games are 5 stars.

Agreed, 5 Stars out of 10.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

So this is the price he has to pay for entering into an unprecedented partnership with Nintendo.

VGChartz

It's all a cover up, he has really gone MIA.

Last sighting of Riccitiello before he went missing.

I hope this means they restructure the company with a new CEO.

Nope. They are trying a new model where there is no CEO, everyone just does what they want.

Too many bad decisions, and the Sim City affair has surely being the icing on the cake.

Bye, bye.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

There's no way that ME3 is 5 stars on PS3 brah. Runs like a slideshow and the ending didn't help

I don't like Bioware's direction lately, going the action route because they want to appeal to the masses. Guess what, Bioware, it doesn't work.

The ending? The entire game was a mess. They shat on every desison you made thoughout the franchise and throughout that game

Save the rachni queen in ME1? no? - lol cloned anyway

Build a amazing team in ME2? lol lets make them all useless in the next game

Cerberus? lol suddenly enough man power to challenge the entire galaxy

Find out what happened with the protheans and get one to join the team? lol cut it and make it dlc

Mass market appeal isn't going anywhere. Look at Skyrim, 15+ million copies sold and tons of GOTY awards. Although Skryim is a much better game than ME3 it still took mass appeal to the max and stripped the game of much needed depth. Lately all you need to do is toss in a XP bar or some kind of skill tree on a turd and you got yourself a GOTY RPG. Anyway going further offtopic.
