They plan on replacing him with a Microsalaried CEO. EA will pay for small transactions every time they want him to do paperwork or lead the company.

hahaha that made lol

Noooooooooooo, Mr. Nothing-but-talk is gone. So sad...

It'll be Peter Moore. Count on it.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Perhaps unfortunate but not totally unexpected. EA is a public company and shareholders will only go so long without profit. Bottom line, the company has to make money for it's shareholders and that hasn't been happening and didn't look likely to change in the near future. The under-performance of Dead Space, which was one of John's new IPs that was suppose to provide for EA's future, was likely the final straw.

Good riddance to bad rubbish

$5000!!!!! Holy fecal matter! Battlefield 4, want to beat the game? $5000 price tag confirmed.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Bet the next guy is even worse at being all EA'ish.

Wonder if the SimCity fallout affected this.

As others have said, though, I wouldn't hold out much hope of the next guy doing any better.

Jason Rubin. Hire Jason Rubin.

I doubt whoever comes next will be any better, but good fucking riddance all the same.

This could be a good day for gaming, provided the new CEO ditches the typical EA mindset. I don't have high hopes though.

It won't be, so keep your hopes non-existent. JR wasn't doing his job of screwing over fans good enough so they fired him. Expect the gaming industry to get a harder fuck.
