Wasn't the the jump from Nes/Gensis to SNES like... 60X or something crazy like that.?

NES had 2KB of RAM, SNES had 128KB of RAM, so that's +126 KB jump.
PS3 had 512MB of RAM, PS4 has 8GB of RAM, so that's +7488 MB jump...its not even comparable lol
ethomaz said: The graphical leap from PS3 to PS4 is in fact bigger than the graphical leap saw in PS2 to PS3. Killzone Shadow Fall showed the biggest graphical leap between generations I ever see in a launch game for any platform. |
You clearly weren't around for the SNES-N64 or N64-Gamecube leaps. ;)
Objectively, provably incorrect.
PS3 = 512 mb ram,
PS4 = 8 gb
= 16x.
Snes = 128 km,
N64 = 4 mb
= 32x
Edit: As bruxel mentioned, Wii to Wii U is also bigger.
Wii = 88
Wii U = 2048
= 23x
I wanna live the moment that most people will be disappointed with the PS4 perfomance. Its time is about to come!
i beleive the wii to wii U is actually the biggest leap.
WII U // PC // 3ds XL // VITA
For a console jump in the 3D world it does look impressive.
I still think 2D to 3D was a bigger jump though.

It seems like your having a reading comprehnion problem.
Also... multiplications on a smaller level actually generally lead to more of a performance boost per amount added so...
