with the weekly hardware numbers about to release soon and the vita only being behind the 360 by about 1000 last week, im wondering would the vita manage to outsell it this week?

things to take into consideration is that the vita managed to go up in japan by a couple of thousand and MLB the show released today for it in the west. tomb raider did release on the 360 though. so what do you think?

Edit : NPD shows that the 360 is massively undertracked in the usa, so vita has no shot outselling the 360

It got a boost from a price drop. The boost is biggest in the first week but die off to increase the average weekly sales by a small margin. It will drop too low next week. I've heard a few fairly big games are going to be released but I think the boost from them will be minimal.

I don't see why not. Last week the difference was negligible and I don't believe that there's any reason for the 360 to get a boost. But if I had to guess I'd say no.

Only if 360 drops. The week Vita gets a price drop in Europe/NA is the week this may happen if Japan sales stay reasonable now.

I was thinking the same question.. But I answered no, the xbox have some new releases this week: Tomb Raider, Major league and naruto, which are not comparable with the 20k of MLB.
But the difference will be (+)(-)5k I guess !

Seeing they are so close on the last chart (1k) I don't see why not - if you refer to next week's chart.

If it does happen I am thinking that it would be the highest position PSV has ever been on the VG Chart.

It means Vita's inevitable fall from mediocrity will be that much more painful.

Anyway, I can't think of any big games coming to the 360 next week, and I think Soul Sacrifice will push sales slightly above last week, so I'm guessing Vita will edge it.
