I'd say that any one who plays video games routinely with some level of dedication can be considered a core gamer.
Even though my mother only plays social games these days, the amount of effort and time she puts into them does not scream "casual" to me.

Absolutely not. Because my sister is definitely not a core gamer, and unfortunately casuals like her are nintendo target audience. Hardcore gamers can play nintendo but nintendo only gamers cant be hardcore. If you hate you shouldnt have asked =)

Yes of course. The more interesting question is the preferred genres among those and the number of core gamers that choose Nintendo.



Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Low preorders,average rating until now,pretty much unknown and not really interessting-but even this game will sell 2x more units than AC,BM,COD and ME3 combined(until the end of the year)

Those games have too many things againts them on Wii U. Batman, late port. People really don't care about the special armor suit. ME3, worthless the moment we heard of the trilogy. COD, who really wants to play COD with a Nintendo system. When their online always has to be crazy, instead of normal. AC, I have no opinion. Since I never played the games.

I don't see why not. Some of my best friends who are Nintendo enthusiasts are hardcore gamers. It also depends on how you look at 'Nintendo gamer". I know people who use the Wii exclusively but don't buy games like Mario or Zelda, so to me It would depend on the kind of Nintendo games that person plays since Nintendo's umbrella is rather wide. But I suppose technically those guys wouldn't be seen as 'Nintendo gamers'.

So you consider us Ultra Mega Core Gamers? I can live with that.
