Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Your picture doesn't correspond with the article too well....

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

the funny thing is the noobs will eat this up and use it in the future against Nintendo gamers

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

that only says that the majority of Nintendo gamers are mature gamers. They have other more important things to do, like taking care of their families.
The expert gamers are the old gamers, they are not going to spend money on mediocre games. They choose the good games over the mainstream games. Of course they don't spend more time than others playing all those mediocre games.

C'mon. That can't be true.

Btw, only real time stragety games are hardcore... yeah, because turn based strategy games like Civilization are for the casuals too, right?

I know you're probably just looking for an argument, but all I can really feel is bad for you.  I hope this helps you sleep.  I mean that.

On topic, different organizations have different definitions, but I don't really know how to explain this, unless they thought neither the Wii U or the Wii were relevant enough at the moment to be included.  By most definitions, the system doesn't matter.  When I worked with Microsoft, they included probable demographic numbers, and it included criteria such as "comfortable with technology" and they also listed favored genres, but it really just broke down to "gaming is an important hobby to them".

Also "core" is not the same as "hardcore" at all.  They are no more the same as "hat" and "hardhat".

You completely took that out of context. They didn't say Nintendo gamers aren't hardcore gamers by default, they simply said that if they don't at least play on PC or PS3 or 360 (in this case, in addition), then they're casuals.

And that's true. Nintendo fans have to supplement Nintendo consoles with PC or another console less they want to be stuck playing 3 games a year and miss out on every multiplat. Nintendo consoles are side consoles you buy for Nintendo games.

So I'm a core gamer.
