Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Umm... I Traded In My WiiU

Still kinda shocked actually. The other day I packed up my WiiU and brought it to Ebgames. With the 32gb console, Blop2, Zombie U and NSMBU I got over $200 trade in value ($200 for the console alone + like $80 for the games).

With that money I got a 500gb PS3 super slim, LBP Karting and 1 year PS Plus.

I just cannot see the future of WiiU looking good!

There are no games and there don't seem to be many coming up within the year that interests me!

The Wifi is garbage with no ethernet ports!

PS4/720 are coming around the corner with a baseball bats!

I just dont want to be stuck with a Dreamcast. So I figured I would cut my losses and trade it in while the value is high. And believe me this hurts. I have always loved my Nintendo systems.

Did I react wrong? Will I regret this?

I would've held onto it just for Smash Bros and Zelda personally.

But I can understand trading it while the value is high if you don't see anything on the horizon that interests you

I would've saved the money up towards the PS4 but the PS3 has an amazing library. Wii U library has just started but its not impressive from a Nintendo standard at all.

lol, you seem happy to have got $200.

Look at it this way, you'll buy the console back later, so you'll end up with the same console, but down a game or two.

In all honesty, selling it before E3 was stupid.

You bought LittleBigPlanet Karting and have to ask if you made a mistake?

Lol no Rol. It was the only bundle they had

i can't say i will be able to relate to you.. $200 isn't much to me so i would have held onto the wiiU even if the only future i foresaw was it's use as coaster. better to have and not use than sell back and regret, imo.

I would have kept it awhile longer, patience is key with a new console. You can't expect a slew of new and awesome games right off the bat. I got a PSVita on March 28th last year and only had 2 retail games until LittleBigPlanet released on Sptember 25th since then I've gotten 7 more retail games and there are still others I want.

I just think people are a little to impatient when they get a new console. The Vita had little future also and its still on the rocks but i'll never sell mine.
