Because theres already more people who know about the PS4 than the VITA.....

despite the fact that the VITA has been on the market for a year now and the PS4 hasnt even been shown.

That is sad but true.

Wow I'm honored. Four people quoting me back to back.

Hey I'm not denying that PS4 won't get support and as Rol says probably even unearned support.

I was just pointing out that there are no "real" games so far announced, besides as I said Witcher 3. Or at least none that I have heard of.

So at the moment the PS4 looks no different than any other system on its announcement, such as the Vita, were it has more developers praising and supporting it than there are developers.

As with basically every other launch in video game history, I am expecting it to be a shitty launch line up, and followed by a lul first year. I just hope not too many developers go under before the next gen systems can pick up.

I have a feeling we will see many PS4/720/ps3/360/wii u games for a few years due to financial burdens.  Besides 1st party I see the PS4/720 as being basically a PC for games.  Just a higher resolution/fps over the 360/ps3.  This until they start pulling the 10+ million COD numbers instead of the 360/ps3.

anyone questing this is real blind to common facts

Great console, great hardware, powerful, easy to develop for, less expensive than PS3 at Launch, 12 1st party devs developing for it, almost all 3rd party devs already working on it, all developers praising it.  Anybody starting a thread like this is an idiot, for obvious reasons.  Sorry but true.

Apparently nothing bad about sony can be said here. Why is he an idiot for bringing up a feasible scenario? At this point we don't have all the variables for taking anything for granted. Of course all the other "Sony will dominate threads" are otherwise OK. Sorry but true.

Sony destroyed compititors 2 generations and dispite the numbers of mistake made by Sony ps3 still sold very well i mean by that Playstation had a huge fanbase.
Wii u flopped and xbox will loose this time the advantage of the 1 year and half and can't steal any big playstation exclusivity and they also loose the advantages of being a lot easier to develop compared to playstation.
Playstation seem to have a big support from 3rd party.
That's why it will doing far better then Vita.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

"e3 2011 over 150 developers support vita"

Because Sony is the most successful home console maker of all time.

ps1 + ps2 + ps3 destroy nes, snes, n64, gc and wii. And that's with a decade less time and fewer consoles. The PS2 outsold the wii gc and n64 combined. Your only hope is that the ps4 is priced over $399. It's already game over for the wii u. People that bought the wii aren't going to be fooled again.

It really depends on the measuring stick you are using. There are many ways to look at the situation. In a straight up cumulative sales comparison probably not. In a comparison weighed against their respective markets. Then there is more room for debate. That said I don't think anyone should be dealing in absolutes just yet. While a catastrophic failure of the console isn't very probable. It is hardly in the realm of impossible.

Sony can still sabotage their console with bad design choices, pricing, or abhorrent policies. The competition might well end up disrupting the market, and changing the standards wholesale. The global economy still being terribly shaky might suffer another set back, or a full blown reversal. That said I think the original poster has something of a point. In a lot of ways Sony is repeating the same mistakes it has before, and the price of doing that might actually be getting steeper over time.

Really Sony is offering up the same old dance, and to expect bettering results seems kind of absurd. In all honesty their strategy shouldn't work, but it seems to be their only fall back position. The strategy while it might not win them a new generation. Should hold them in a moderate to good sales position. Granted that nothing like I stated above doesn't come out of nowhere, and makes their plan completely invalid.

Personally I want to see three things before committing to any set in stone position. The entirety of what Sony has in mind for their platform. What the competition has in mind for their platforms. Whether the economy is going to continue to grow over the next four months.

What does nes, snes, n64, gc, and wii have to do with anything.

The topic is about PSV and PS4.  I just re-read the topic again to make sure and he did not mention anything besides those two systems.

More games at launch. and people are willing to pay more for a console than a hand held.
