Over 8.1 million gamers around the world watched the PlayStation Meeting 2013 press conference that officially announced Sony’s PlayStation 4 is coming this Christmas. There’s been a ton of press coverage of the event, and stories on N4G and other aggregate sites about PS4 remain hot topics.

Social media research firm Fizziology keeps a close watch on Twitter, Facebook and key blogs to track what press and consumers are saying and thinking about things. When it comes to PS4, things are looking very good for Sony’s PS4 launch. Twenty-nine percent of all social media chatter around the PS4 were gamers announcing their intent to buy the new console. Sony has great momentum. Just need to be careful with the price

Gotta love the fans who overhype consoles. It gives the manufacturer excuse to charge more knowing that more would be willing to pay for it.

Look at the 3DS...

those prices will be reasonable. But i have a bad feeling it could be more. Im going to buy a ps4 day one (already have money saved up) but i want the console to do well, a high price like 450- 600- then the ps4 might struggle early on like the ps3 and vita.

Forbes is really excited for the PS4, they've been putting out a lot of articles. That's good. Now just get Bloomberg on the wagon too and the investors will flock in.

I'm not sure what people were expecting. As with the Wii U, 3DS and Vita, it's a new hardware redesign and the first one for around 5 years from each company, if not longer. Ofcourse there's going to be buzz!

It's whether or not we still have that buzz in a few months.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Third here

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.
