Forums - Gaming Discussion - Destrutoid says: Fact: PS3 fans****are the worst ( Do you agree?)

Ridiculous article. All fanboys are equally bad. Arguing which is worse is like arguing which tastes worse - cat or dog shit. All sides have legions that deny reality, cry and scream just as badly as one another just over different things. On IGN I had Nintendo fanboys arguing the Wii U was going to be some power-house console with cutting edge tech. On Gamespot I had 360 fanboys arguing that GTA L&D was always going to be an exclusive. However I've never had Sony fanboys argue anything other than the generic "I think my consoles the best"...

Honestly, Jay, I do not understand you at all.

One minute you're posting unbiased reviews, saying that you're not a fan of any company and you just like good games.

Then the next minute, you're making threads suggesting the three 'factions' of VGChartz divide themselves up. And start getting trigger happy saying "LOOK AT THE METASCORE OF SONY GAMES" minutes after the God of War embargo is lifted.

And THEN you start posting 3 year old articles... for what, exactly? To incite further arguments? I genuinely do not see what on earth you think this thread could achieve.

And to stay slightly on topic with my post: All camps have terrible, terrible fans. In my opinion, the worst user on this site currently is a Nintendo fan. And yes, there's plenty of irate and annoying Sony fans too. But hey, Jim Sterling, who needs logic when you can just post a load of brain diarrhea.

I expected something different, but it was actually quite reasonable.

I don't agree. I think Dreamcast fanboys are the worst kind.

Lol. But the Dreamcast is legen...... wait for it.... dary.

I meant hat btw, my Dreamcast is still hooked up to my TV and I play it at least once a month. About as much as I play SNES, Genesis, and NES classics.

If you consider yourself a proud fanboy, that's your thing. I think you are mistaking the term, but to each his own. But, please don't call other people fanboys. There's a big difference between a fan and a real fanboy. That's what this article is talking about. Fans enjoy the stuff they love. Fanboys hate others for not loving the stuff they love.

I think guys here are oversensitive with this word... just it... to be or not to be fanboy is normal and didn't make anybody better or worst.

It is simple.  If Im going to have my name plastered across vgchartz and criticized Ill give you guys a reason to do so.

Most people wont even read the article and just attack me so that is fine.

Is it a marine mammal? I'm not quite sure who you are referring to.

I completely agree.

In general Sony fanboys are the biggest deterrent to having a Sony system. Why? Because they exagerate and lie at every chance they get to fool you into getting their favorite system or crap game. I could give examples about the Vita, for example where they would confirm games that would come out in the west that never will (like tales of innocence R) and more recently they try to convince you CG demos on the PS4 unveil were real time and that the generational leap is bigger than the previous one. Also an example is how overhyped and praised Dissidia 012 was on the PSP and while i bought it by 10 euros it turned out to be one of the crappiest fighters i have ever played.
I have seen them compared to a religion often, and that is what happens. Its complete faith disregarding logic, sense or past examples.

With that said, there are exceptions to this rule, even though they are few.

A different example is im completely disappointed with the Xbox 360 and with Microsoft, but Microsoft fans dont seem to be obnoxious. They stand their ground and defend the games they like in the system. Even though they arent games that appeal to me, i can understand that it appeals to those that like shooters for example.
Nintendo fanboys are usually the less obnoxious ones and look beyond the pre-established notions believing on the strength of Nintendo's strong first party software. I admire that, and they are usually a smart bunch that seem to embrace classic gaming, and that is something i can identify with.

Personally, i can enjoy any system if they deliver. If they dont then i will skip them. Sony and Nintendo systems really interest me at the moment, but i am ot afraid to say that part of the reason why i didnt get a PS3 was because both Sony and this fanbase was so arrogant they needed a wake up call. I'm afraid that they havent learned their lesson though. Sony hopefully, might have.

EDIT:Stupid post.
