Forums - Gaming Discussion - 70's metacritic is the new great games.

WTH? I thought metacritic launched in 2001. Oh wait...Jaywood's right.

I think it's pretty clear what your intentions here are.

Let me get this straight, is this your definition of scores?

<70 = bad, 70-85 = mediocre, 86-90 = great, 90+ = amazing

Yes, the only people getting mad here is sony fans as usual.   When a sony game gets below an 80 it gets defended beyond belief but games like Kinect Sports, Banjo, and Wii Sports gets criticised on a daily basis.  You know this very well.  I brought up a point yesterday and everybody flipped out and compared them(including you) to nintendo and MSFT.  So after like 10 requests i did the MSFT thread.  The only 2 updates i had to do to either one of those threads was to replace alan wake with Crackdown and R&C with MLB The Show. I did 8 because i was just looking at 2012 games up until now.  My plan was never to make more than one thread.  That is on the people complaining.  I wanted the thread to die, woke up this morning with comments on my wall complaining further so i went into check out what was going on to read another 40 comments that was complaining.  So here you go.

Wow, this thread has quite a lot of MeltDowns.

Am I supposed to say "Good job, Jay. This is quite fun." or, "Bad Jay! This is mean/rude/unnecessary."? I guess I'm just neutral.

Edit: Oops, I didn't mean to post after the Lock.

This obsession of yours is getting a bit out of hand. Please though, I'm asking nicely. Stop making threads. Take a few days off from VGChartz, go get some fresh air, stretch your legs, do some real life things. Play some games! Rather than trying to achieve whatever it is you're doing here.

On topic, I do not understand your obsession with Metacritic. If games scoring in the 70-79 range are not worth owning or "mediocre", then I would have to throw about half of my games collection away. Games I really, really love too. For example, 90% of my JRPG collection would be thrown out because profession reviewers hardly ever score them highly. Does that mean they're mediocre games? Does it shit. Just means they're in a more niche genre that isn't necessarily going to appeal to the masses.
