The Wii U is currently floundering around near Wii levels, but much higher then PS3/360 levels.

The sales are less then the Wii, but more higher then the Ps3 & 360.

Just compare the first several months sales to each other.

 

And if the Ps4 sales much better then the PS3 did, then that will be Wii U sales, but NOT Wii sales.

But if the Wii U is selling less then Wii for first several months then maybe the PS4 will sale less better then PS3 for first several months.

Either way, the PS4 has to much to overcome if it wants Wii sales.

No.  I meant what i posted.  The PS3 and 360  were both supply constrained far more then the Wii U, and the PS3 released in Japan much later.

Hence why actual aligned launches are valid, where what you posted... is not.

Obviously it is too early to tell, but If I had to bet right now I would say say the PS4 will finish first, 720 will come a respectable and not too distant second while the WiiU will finish a reasonably distant third.

My Guestimate for lifetime sales.

PS4 - 90mil
720 - 75mil
WiiU - 35mil

3DS - 200 million

So 3DS wins the next Gen.

 

So who's gonna see G.I. Joe 2 3D & Iron Man 3 3D & Pacific Rim 3D & new X-Men 3D & Thor 2 3D & that New "Cristopher Nolan" (writer/director of Batman Trilogy) "Man of Steel" (Superman) 3D, which is written & produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by the guy who directed X-Men 1 & 2.

Enjoy the 50 or so 3D movies being release in theaters this year.....I know I will.

3D effect in movie theaters is bad enough already, why would anyone want to experience that on the 3DS?

3DS isn't a console btw so that makes you comment even more irrelevant.


There's only 3 reasons for people to have problems with 3D:

1) age.....the older you are the worser your sight will be for seeing 3D, because of natural decline of brain & eyes after age 20.

2) inbreeding.....the more inbreed ancestors a person has the less capable they are of seeing anything in 3D including real life.

Which one these 3 categories do you fall under......if you are around 30 years old then never mind, I already got an answer.

I can see the 3D effect fine. It's just shitty IMO. But I don't own a 3DS, I'm basing this off my experience with a demo unit in Best Buy.


There's a Depth Slider on the side that you have to turn "all the way up". (NOT somewhere in between)

But its best if you use the Best Buy display to play a "video trailer" of the game, just to be on the safe side, so you can see what it's like. And you still have to have the 3D set ON for video trailers. Try it out for once in your life.

I do actually think 3DS will be the highest selling selling portable-console next gen but I think it will end up around the 100-110 million mark with the Vita coming in around the 50 million mark. The only think I can think of that would realistically stop the 3DS getting over 100m in sales is Nintendo releasing its next handheld early which I don't see them doing. I don't think either will reach their predecessors sales due to the seemingly lower interest in handhelds in the west this gen.
