I have all consoles out right now, as a gamer i like games on all platforms. to deny this to yourself because of misplaced loyalty to a corporation is a big dumbass mistake many fanboys make.

Mmm, broad generalizations based on anecdotal evidence...yummy.

Seriously, though, my experience with that has been much different. I see that kind of thing far more frequently online than in person.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

To be fair, not everybody can afford or justify buying all consoles and this kind of reaction is a futile way to reassure their minds, that they bought/got the right console.

Personally I don't have a PS3 because I can't justify it to myself, but that doesn't avoid me to have a Wii, Xbox360 and a PC to play with and praise the exclusive games that the PS3 have.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Hey I got Nintendo/PC combo going on here, I still want the Tales series really badly on PS3.

I'm actually considering renting my friend's PS3 when those 2 come out here.

Anyone who grew up in the 16-bit era knows this all too well.

In 2008 when i first enter playstation home, someone approach me and start a conversation with me, the person ask which game i own and answer the question incluiding gear of war, apparently one dude was reading my conversation and notice that i owned a xbox 360 too so he decide to get near without engaging with us and start telling stupid things like gears of war was crap and shit like that.

OH MY GOD what has come of the world, that kid's behavior is totally out of control!!

In other news, Democrats hate Republican ideologies!

With children, it's expected, because many of them act that way over other things, as well. It's not unusual to see a kid tell another kid that their toy is "stupid" when anyone can see they're fighting their own jealousy over it. Jealousy with children often results in anger, denial, and bad rationalizations. It's when people don't grow out of this as they get older that things turn ugly.

Still, it's not like this is true of everyone. As someone who ran a video rental store for years, I've seen a lot of what you're talking about, but I've also seen a lot of kids react dead opposite and say, "man, I wish I had a PS3/Xbox/Wii". It's kind of funny, because a lot of times they would just stand there, staring at the box art, playing the game in their head. I'm not just talking about a few seconds, but several minutes at a time. You'd even see the same kids come back another day and pick up the same game case again and stare at it.

Kids are also filled with misinformation from friends. Some of it will make you facepalm. That's when I smile, pat them on the head, and tell them why Playstation is better.
