Was this another, hey look at me article? Because it really feels like it. Nintendo's Wii didn't even do that well. There are definitely more casual gamers than there is hard core. So it sold like crazy, had shortages for months on end, and its overall sales won't be topped for a while. For a dying gaming market, I hate to say that but its true, I don't expect the Wii U, Xbox720, or PS4 to exceed the 80 Million mark. As mobile gaming is taking a front seat of the ride. Yes, I hate mobile games but it is very so true. But 16 Million! Come on:/ and estimating that the PS4 will be at least $400, this is exceptionally ignorant.

Unless they are launching in September at a $99 price point... we ain't got time for that.

It's not that hard to imagine. If they did ship world wide, 2.6million would need to be sold each month for 6 months. Divide that 2.6 million by 4 (Japan, America, Europe, rest of the world) that's only 650,000 per region per month. Again divide that by 4 weeks per month, that's only 162.5 thousand each week, per region. Now that is a lot. But not impossible. If they keep the marketing campaign high, release worldwide simultaneously.....between they weekly average that's needed and the big holiday time frame it will be released during, with the games they clearly have ready to go.....I believe they are in line to do it right this time! I'm willing to bet they meet that goal or get damn close!

No, no... 16m for 2013 as in its first few months and they specified annual as oppose to fiscal.
