Super Mario Bros. has been around for over 20 years, and I’m just learning this now?!

This is one of those stories that is just so simple…so silly…so perfectly weekend. As I was hunting around, I came across a NeoGAF thread all about ‘video game facts that blow your mind’. I was scanning through when I found out the fact posted below. I felt stupid for not knowing it, but apparently I wasn’t the only one.

The bushes in Super Mario Bros. were just recolored clouds.

How the hell did I not notice that at some point?! I mean, there really isn’t all that much going on graphically. I have a feeling a lot of you are going to get on my case for this one! Hopefully, some of you will admit that this is the first time you’re finding this out as well!
