Have not seen such differing reviews since Zombie U (Which I still do not know if I like or not having only played the demo) . I know I will buy it anyway because I am a Castlevania Fan Boy , just not sure if I should wait for it to go down in price first.

Can fans of the series give their take when they pick it up? I would appreciate it.

Zombi U is 8.5 out of 10 IMO. Only the ending was a let-down. You should play it if you got a WiiU.

I do have a Wii U(got it at launch) and have been wanting to give it more of a try. The demo was fun but limited. I would have picked it up on sale from the eshop but I have not gotten an external harddrive yet and my 32GB is already full . Just waiting for a disc sale either on amazon or locally before giving it a go.

I was prepared for the worst when I read some user impressions but when I was done with the demo, I was pretty satisfied with the direction they took. Will buy this weekend or next.

Really a great game. Some reviews, like the ign one, are hilarious.

Just play the demo and decide yourselves.

The game is really fun to play, the complains seem to come from the fact the game doesnt play exactly like its predecessors and adopted block/evade and combo mechanics. They love to jump back and forth with the same animation over and over. Its not something i get and i love the classic side-scrollers. It doesnt cloud my vision from the really fun game to play though.

I'm reading lots of positive impressions from Gaf. They love it!

i cant believe some of the reviews on here. ive been playing the game since it was released and have loved every minute of it and no i havent played any of the other castlevania games so im not being clouded by past games in the series. at first the combat is alittle clunky but as you unlock more moves, with the leveling system, it becomes alittle more smooth, do to the increase in variety. the combat is one part correct timing / one part skill usage. you need to use dodge, block, atk, counter at the right time to win boss battle and even some later monsters or you will get your but kicked, atleast i did. the only thing i would mark off on is the 2 art styles, one for cinematics and one for gameplay. i actually think they should of just went with the cartoony style for the whole game since its easier to see the characters and well looks cooler to me. if you have a 3ds i suggest you get the game.
