This is a reason why you can't review a game that has gotten a totally different developer, whose culture are also radically different.
The reviews at 7-8 seems to be sitting in a good spot and I would say that I enjoyed the demo very much.


That's not true at all. Game that is radically different from it's predecessors will get good reviews if it's actually good. Resident Evil 4, Tomb Raider Reboot come to mind. This game isn't like that. Its a half baked implementation of old ideas combined with some modern ones. It's designed to attract both audiences rather than break new ground.

I swear the only thing that pisses me off more than fanboys are crappy ass reviews. Seriously, I saw the review of this game on IGN and clearly that fool doesn't like any Castlevania that is not in the MetroidVania style. That really pisses me off because Castlevania is not at its core a MetroidVania type game. Yes the MetroidVania style made the franchise uber popular to the Playstation generation, but what about gamers like myself that know the roots of Castlevania and don't necessarily like the MetrodVania style of gameplay?

Honestly, I think Castlevania III is the best game in the series but, these shit faced reviewers always bring up MetroidVania games when they review any Castlevania game after SotN. It's like these jokers expect every Castelvania game to now be like SotN - shit that really pisses me off. Its like expecting every Mario game to 3D because Mario 64 was so popular or every Metroid game to be a FPS because of the success of the Prime series.

I just wish sometime you could debate some of these reviewers when they put up their shitty biased reviews.

Meh ... I'll get it when it is ported to PS3 with trophies. But not day one. LoS 2 looks more promising.

@DaRev Pretty much. The game is good people. It's not IGAvania like you all wanted, but that doesn't stop it from being an enjoyable title. So far I've heard nothing but good things about it with only some slight problems like framerate. The hate for this game is amazing even if it got some good reviews.

Have not seen such differing reviews since Zombie U (Which I still do not know if I like or not having only played the demo) . I know I will buy it anyway because I am a Castlevania Fan Boy , just not sure if I should wait for it to go down in price first.

Can fans of the series give their take when they pick it up? I would appreciate it.

man I totally agree with you, castlevania III remains my all time favorite castlevania, but today it seems that people demand de metroidvania style

I would bet my right arm that every reviewer that rated this game low compared it to a MetroidVania game. Now that in itself is not a bad thing, but when that is a reviwer's only or main measuring criteria, their final opinon must be flawed.

Zombi U is 8.5 out of 10 IMO. Only the ending was a let-down. You should play it if you got a WiiU.
