No BD-ROM? So what ODD will they use I wonder?

It will not include Blu-Ray???

Dang, I was hoping this was the first leak from the hush-hush Microsoft closed door meetings that were rumored for today (March 4) thru Thursday (March 7), but it seems like this guy is just spreading some bs rumor that is way off.

No Blu-Ray? C'mon now...

Considering MS want to go for a All in one multimedia hub, the no blu-ray sounds BS. MS would be stupid
not to support it. And how do they house the prototype in a 360 slim case?

I am glad it doesnt have blu ray. I dont see the need for the extra cost.

Hey! N4G accepted this guys article, so it must be true.

i think it will definitely have blu-ray,i mean come on what else could they use instead!

"3x the processing speed of the current 360"

Makes no sense. Unless everything we heard about the Hardware is not true. No Bluray would be a mistake even if they use a 50gb proprietary format instead.

Unless he means no BR for games. Maybe a derivitive of HD-DVD instead.

Why are all the xbox rumors filled with seemingly stupid design choices? Once more I find myself doubting the validity of all this, the specs might be close to truth but the functionality and other issues seem way off.
Using their own format instead of an industry standard seems pretty silly, especially if they want the whole "living room entertainment box" business model to be viable.
Its too early by far to go digital only so they need a physical format, resurrecting the HD-DVD would be folly and flash or other similar formats aren't at all viable alternatives as far as production costs and materials are concerned.
