Will you still buy digital Games for your Playstation 3?

Yes 61 55.96%

No 48 44.04%

Total:109

The options were a PS4 which ran on some kind of upgraded cell processor or losing backwards compatibility. I'm very happy they chose option B.

I don't buy games on PSN unless they're download-only titles (Fat Princess; Journey etc.). So that's not gonna change. My PS3 will remain hooked up to my TV for many years, just like my PS2 & Wii still are, so nothing will change there.

WTF are you talking about?
What has changed? Nothing.

he was talking about PS4 not playing PS3 downloadable games.

OT: i'm sure they'll find away to make it possibble to play PS3 downloadable games on PS4.

They won't. PSN games are made to run on PS3 hardware just like retail games. It's impossible to emulate the PS3 on a PS4 so don't get your hopes up.

At best we will get PS1 emulation. If we're lucky, PS2 as well.

very disappointing

How often do you play GCN games on the Wii? Or X-box games on X-box 360? How often did you play PSX games on PS2?

I was never expecting PS4 to be BC. I will keep my PS3 plugged to the tv for years to come, just like I still have PS2 and Wii, so this doesn't change a thing for me.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

never so it doesn't bother me. just commenting on it. had a hacked Wii that had everything but GC games on it.

I usually buy hard copies unless I don't have a choice (and I've pretty much stopped buying download only games since PS+ started)

PS4 not being backwards compatible wouldn't stop me if I was though. I'm not quite sure how valid the "I was going to trade in my PS3 towards my PS4" argument actually is. If the PS4 included the required architecture to run PS3 games, it would probably be a lot more expensive and would probably cancel out any gain you would get by trading in your PS3.

yes, my ps3 gaming library is mostly digital

15 downloaded Ps1 games
8 downloaded PS2 games
15 downloaded PS3 games

14 hardcopies

hell, i plan on getting 500g PS3 to continue this :P

This dawned on me a couple years ago. With the libraries are good as they are (XBL/PSN), a consumer could buy a console, never own a full retail game, and have a great gaming experience based off that alone.
