I think that during this year Nintendo will increase supply to meet demand pre-holidays, but that once we get near Christmas it will get harder and harder to find one until they are completely sold out during the week before Christmas. It probably won't be nearly as bad as this past year or 2006.

I think that Nintendo will increase production moderately during March and then more significantly during the summer. Here are my rough estimates for Wiis produced this year with low and high ranges added.

I think they will be sold out at least from Thanksgiving through December, if not the full year.

In order for a system to meet demand through-out the holiday season they (typically) need to produce at least 40% more systems every month then they sell. Without a major increase in production, or a decrease in demand, it is unlikely that the Wii will be readily available through-out the christmas season in 2008.
