Everquest Next-Landmark is a "construction and exploration game" similar to minecraft.

http://www.vg247.com/2013/08/02/everquest-landmark-is-construction-and-exploration-game-similar-to-minecraft/

According to how RPS described it, Landmark is a “construction and exploration game” similar to Minecraft, and contains the entire toolset used to build worlds and assets for Everquest Next.

It will come will all sorts of design tools, but players will still need to gather resources through the various continents and land masses in the game.

Once a player stars exploring, they will be given a flag in which to stake a claim in the landscape, and other players can visit said lands.

All creations can be submitted to the Player Studio, and then downloaded by other players who will actually pay you money for them.

A payment is received every time there is a sale and they will also get royalties should another player borrow a feature created.

Even better, the best creations “could be picked for inclusion” in EverQuest Next at launch.

Here’s more from the press release:

Create Amazing Things:

Build highly detailed structures with powerful and intuitive tools
Quickly design complex projects or collaborate with friends to undertake massive shared builds.
Lay claim to and control specific areas of huge persistent worlds.

Share Your Imagination with Friends

Landmark’s persistent servers will enable players to interact with and experience the collective imagination of thousands of players in a unique shared world.
Players will have compelling reasons to explore and interact with others. They will congregate at crafting hubs, build design templates to share and trade, and journey across the world to collect the resources required to build and craft.

Build EQN with SOE — Using the Same Tools

Landmark players will gain increasing access to many of the same tools that SOE is using to construct the game world of EQN.
Not only will Landmark give players access to these world building tools, SOE will provide specific guidance on what we want help building.
Through this collaborative approach, EQN may eventually represent the largest overall collaborative development effort in the history of online games. For anyone who has ever thought about becoming a game developer, here is your chance. Together we will build extraordinary things

EverQuest Next – Landmark ships this winter as a free-to-play.

this game better come to the PS4 at the end of 2013.

When Sony announced Knack it was touted as PS4's answer to Ratchet & Clank, however a recent preview of Knack in the lastest issue of Official Playstationb Magazine holds no punches.

We have the snapshot of Knack Preview from Official Playstation Magazine below for you. Take a look, it features ton of not so good details about Knack:

Did the guy play the game on easy difficuly because I remember Mark Cerny say that on the harder difficulties you had to use more than one button?  I think the easy difficulty in this game is literally meant for little kids.

eh, you know how it is...

Sounds Shapes is.... ohhhhhhhhhh I don't have words to explain... the 2D platform gameplay mixed with the beat rhythmically makes the experience something special.

Ni No Kuni is 21.50 on Amazon by the way (US). Just picked it up. Looks decent and I loved the demo.

I got bored of it pretty fast

That's interesting. Why is that? I don't intend to play it just yet. Since it is cheap I will add it to my backlog and play it later.

It takes its god damn time it moves to slow foward, the spaces between the exciting parts are just too big. Even though the world was soooo beautyfull

Ah I see. Slow pacing. I forgot what the reviews said about it, but from a macro level it seemed like something I could enjoy. Unfortunately, since I'm busy these days I don't see myself having much time for it. I want bite sized games for the time being. Kuni looks like a long game.

You getting anything for August September? For me, Dragon's Crown, Killzone M and Rayman: Legends. Those are all 'bite sized' and coop enabled. Puppeteer is possibly the only PS3 game I might buy. Undecided on GTAV at launch or wait for GOTY.

Saints Row 4 I am so pumped for that. I will probably get the Wonderfull 101 Rayman Legends and Killer is Dead to review so will play them as well. But Saints Row 4 is my most anticipated August game.

P.S and probably Brothers a tale of two sons
