Why not create new studios with that money. I wouldn't be happy if that were true. I can accept exclusive DLC but full games is too much.

Surely EA isn't that stupid.. either that or MS got a mighty fine deal if true!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

The FIFA License doesn't allow any exclusivity on platforms so you can forget about this one

I was just about to write the same :)

It makes a lot more sense in the long term to invest in first-party software rather than lease some high-profile EA titles for a few months.

This could really screw over Sony, essentially only three companies consistently sell well in the US: EA, Activision, and Nintendo. Activision fans already prefer Microsoft, and Nintendo is 100% out of the question. If Microsoft secures EA, then there will be very little reason for the US to bother with a PS4.

Interesting. They could sign up some sort of partership with EA for the US market exclusively to protect and build their current user base.  That would mean Activision, EA, Bungie, and Bethesda would be preferred gaming parters for the xbox 720 in the US.  EA Sports, Battlefield 4, Respawns COD killer, COD, Destiny, Halo 5, Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6 all with Xbox exclusive features or timed exclusivity.

They could look to other partners to build Europe, Konami, Rockstar, Capcom, Ubisoft, Square Enix etc.

I think Microsoft pissed off at their best friend activision for destiny exclusive something for ps4 and also at activision about diablo3 exclusivity for ps3/4 so this could be their betrayal back at activision

How did EA get away with not putting them on Dreamcast?

If they can proove that the platform is financialy unviabvle, they can.

OT: maybe some crappy timed DLC but nothing more. Seeing EA games sales I doubt they want to aliaenate their biggest fanbase.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Even though I dont give a damn for timed exclusivity, I recognize that depending on the game it could have some negative repercussion on the ps4.
