I'm going to keep playing Endless Ocean, though. Not bored of it one bit. I still play Pokemon D/P a lot (355 hours and only 4 badges lmao; that's on Diamond, though, but I hacked 493 Pokemon for the National Dex just for the heck of it), and I'm not bored of it either.

 Honestly, I generally don't expect people to like them.  I only like them and Hayley because I have the dumbest most random taste in music ever.  My playlist consists of them, Hayley, classical, opera, metal, musicals, classic rock, pop, 80's, rap, country, and just about everything else along with it.

And curse you for mentioning FFXI, it took so much to quit that game.   I finally got myself to quit after camping Shikigami Weapon and Rose Garden for days.


I don't hunt Notorious Monsters that often; it's overrated lol All I like to do is see how my stats play out and have fun. I don't play it hard-core like because I take my own life into account when I play. And I don't want to quit the game because I have a lot of friends on it, and I can pay for the monthly fee since I work.

You should also see what kind of music I listen to too. It's on my profile on VGChartz. I bet I'm the ONLY boy who still listens to Backstreet Boys and the like because I grew up listening to them. And I bet I'm the only 20 year old guy on here who still watches the Disney Channel.

PS: I'm SHOCKED now that you and Bod are mods now lol I just clicked on this thread again and "!!!" you two appear.

So this isn't a game because its not realistic since it doesn't have an air gauge and the fish don't bite?

But casting spells, killing dragons & aliens, magically healing someone, etc. are realistic? Someone should just fire this guy and put him out of his misery.

The rating "mature" has nothing to do with maturity nor does it mean the game is aimed toward adults. For the most part it's just a gimmick to attact youth to buy the game. In most cases the rating should be "immature" as there is nothing mature about saying or typing the f-word for example which is more attactive to the youth than adults.

Looking at the list of games on your signature, they are lame to me and don't interest me. Why? We have enough of that crap on the market. Every FPS on the market is literally the same, only with different coatings of paint and a title slapped on it. Same thing with racing games and the like. You're just afraid that something like Endless Ocean is unique and different from your 'average' list of games. There is almost NOTHING on the market that is identical to what Endless Ocean offers, so go play your crap-ware that appeals to you and don't bash something that's different from what you play. Your lack of faith in knowing what this offers sickens me, so leave.

Wow! I just popped the game in when I was feeling extraordinarily stressed, and I am soooooo relaxed right now

It's so soothing, with the beautiful background music, nice graphics and animation (underwater) and just a sense of complete calm and tranquility. The slow, methodical breathing of the diver helped to bring me down, as well, as it helped me to breathe slower as well. Very worthy of my $30.



Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

EGM are not making fun of the game. they are just saying that is not wath you expect from a regular game.

the game has been reviewed in 1up (the internet site of EGM) and the same aspects where comented, even so the game got a 8.0 (the average in gamerankings.com is 7.3) and at the end of the 5th paragrafh it states "it's still an absolute bargain at $30."

 I generally don't do a lot of NM hunting becaus, well, I just didn't care a lot but I would go hunt gods with my LS (we were one of the top NA LS's on the server) though I never really went to get anything.  I just went to those because they were a lot of fun.  The only reason I hunted Shiki was because I really wanted the equipment (SMN was my main job) and you met some cool people as opposed to hunting heavier hunted NM's and I hunted Rose Garden because not many people hunted that one since it drops a RAR/EX item.

As for music, meh, to each their own.  I respect the Backstreet Boys because even those they were a corporate formed band they still had some talent.  If talented people are singing a song I'm probably going to like it so there are actually a few Backstreet Boys songs I like.

I just feel sorry for all of those people that Endless Ocean is aimed at - as soon as they read this review at EGM they may feel they're not gonna buy it, oh wait - they wont ever read it.

Not a problem as everyone that reads it will know what Endless Ocean is all abourt and what it has and doesn't have in the game already. I had it for a while and enjoyed it for a limited time but gotta say I did gwt bored of it pretty quick.
