Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ubisoft: 'Development PS3/360-version Watch Dogs not started yet'

Tagged games:

In an interview with a Dutch game website, Ubisoft's boss Yves Guillemot tells more about the development of Watch Dogs.

It appears that the next-gen and PC-version is developed first, and after that is finished, they'll be looking at how to put it on X360 and PS3.

The quote: "The team is developing it on high end pc's and next gen, after that other teams are looking how they can make it fit for the older generation. So the first approach is to see how they can take full advantage of the next gen consoles."

Interview here (in Dutch).

Other interesting tidbits:
- "Maybe we can show both versions (of Watch Dogs) at E3"
- Rainbow Six: Patriots still in development! "A good team is working on it and they have good ideas. It costs us some time to figure it out and to bring out the right feeling in the game."
- "We're still working on some Vita-games. I can't announce anything yet, but it's coming. The Vita isn't dead to us yet."

============================================================

I could translate the entire interview if anyone cares?

Good! Removes the temptation to buy it on a current gen system first before it comes for PS4

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

This is why this thread is doomed to die a quick death, Ubisoft has implied Wii U is next gen.

Now if on the other hand they had said the Wii U version was being developed with the 360 and PS3 versions this thread would have already exploded. (in before people point out that Ubisoft didn't specifically mention the Wii U :P)

WiiU next-gen confirmed?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Actually Ubisoft CEO already stated that the team is already working on the Wii U version in another interview. And Wii U most likely will handle multiplats next gen, because the Wii U architecture is the same used on PS4 and Xbox next, but due to less processor cores and RAM wile PS4XboxNext versions will run on 1080p Wii U versions will most likely stuck on sub-HD to 720p, but they most likely will be the same version of PS4XboxNext games

PS4 version it is then XD

I will be getting at launch:

Killzone: Shadow Fall

Infamous: Second Son

Knack

Watch Dogs

and more depending on what Sony shows at E3 and TGS 2013.

So it'e being developed on next-gen systems, and ported to PS360.
