Hey Everyone,

I got an early press release of Tomb Raider. I wanted to show the first hour of the game to help you decide if the game is right for you.

Let me know your thoughts

Thanks for the video, just finished watching...it's actually much worse than I expected, they've shamelessly spat in the face of original TR and Lara. Hopefully, they'll pull their shit together in sequels and make them at least bit more true to original, though I honestly doubt that if the sales of this one are any good.

This is an abomination. Tomb Raider was always challenging, especially the platforming. Now a 7 year old would have no trouble through those sections.

You can apply that rule to most franchises nowadays...

i was expecting 50-60 on metacritic. Better than expected. Gonna buy it once it is cheaper though

Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

That's the 7th gen for you. Add action, simplify every single gameplay mechanic, just add more mechanics, it will trick reviewers into thinking the game is deep. Lots of explosions, quick time events, scripted sequences and custscenes and you have yourself a 85-90 or possibly more on metacritic. Yay!

I'm pretty impressed. May have to pick it up. I guess we should all just give the game a chance before jumping to conclusions without even playing.

So far we've been wrong about : Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising next?

Half the challenge of the first 5 Tomb Raider titles was the god-awful controls though.

I agree. TR never got the mechanics right. But that's not an excuse.

Yeah, it's so sad. It's funny that in the gaming world, unlike Hollywood, they're getting away with it with both the masses and the reviewers.

Disturbing thing is that there's something very strange going on there - watch GT review and read Eurogamer's and they both sound like 6, considering they are  pretty negative about the game. Yet, both reviews have quite decent scores (8.5 and 8 respectively).
