So as some of you may know, I'm constructing a tier list of Nintendo franchises based on sales potential, and I want to know what most people here think.
Will SSB pass below 10million because of the decreased userbase,
Or will it pass 10 million regardless, like how the GCN version sold better than the N64 version.
Current Bets-AC:New Leaf won't break 600k by release to year's end. -NintendoPie (1st bet!) loser has to include this in their sig "Winner Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them."-3months

Ok people I just remembered that the game is releasing both on 3DS AND WiiU.
S-tier it stays.
Can a mod lock this?

Like I said, depends on release date and marketing. Also depends on how good it is.

No. Brawl sold 11.5M, which is by far the most any in the series has sold. I also think the franchise peaked with Brawl, I can't see interest being as high for a sequel. Especially since sales will be cut into by the game not being exclusive anymore, a 3DS version is coming out too. So I would say somewhere only 6-8 million for the Wii U version.

The 3DS and WiiU combined will sell over 10million.
Multiplats aren't counted by the sales of just 1 platform.

That's a good point, but I remember Nintendo saying there would be connectivity between the games. I always assumed that meant it was something like Monster Hunter 3.
@OP: If they are indeed the same game, it will break 10 million.

From what little information Nintendo has given us about the new smash games, they seem to be indicating that the 3DS version will be it's own seperate game and not simply just a port.
