Zelda U wishlist:

A Link to the Past sequencing
Majora's Mask sidequests and character development
Twilight Princess graphics style
Wind Waker's charm and scale
Ocarina of Time's dungeon design
Skyward Sword's...nothing...that game was so bad I couldn't make it past the 4th dungeon, damn was it boring as fu*ck
Oh, and it has to take place in the Hero's Defeat timeline.

I would love Zelda to return to that timeline.

Skyward Sword was the other. It was absolutely terrible 2nd worst Zelda ever after Wind Waker.

You know its true.

Hmm... Let's see here:

Ocarina of Time > Majora's Mask > Twilight Princess > The Legend of Zelda > Wind Waker > Link's Awakening > Skyward Sword

(Note: I haven't played A Link to the Past and a few others)

Guess we're not too different in taste.

OT: I would love to see that happen. Skyward Sword is so far the only Zelda that I've found painful to play and never actually finished. Only watched my sister play through it (with a laptop on my knees...) I replayed Twilight Princess a couple of weeks ago and had a blast, however.

Sad thing is that I'm pretty sure that they'll go for another Skyward Sword-like title though as an excuse to make less detailed/time consuming levels and environments.

As long as they take care of the following issues YES:

1. Make holes in the ground where I can fall into like in the old days.

2. Make the world not only huge but filled this time.

3. Do never ever come up with crappy creatures like the nude skinhead chicken people with boobs that are living in the clouds.(NEVER! And come up with a story like Ganondorf was transforming the Birds from skyward sword into those crap things so the Skyloft people could not fly anymore or whatever!!! So I can atleast accept their ugly existence.)

The next Zelda should have a connected Overworld. There should
also be more than one town area and actually make use of being able to carry all those rupees. Also voice acting except for link.

Yes! Twilight Princess is my second favourite Zelda game.

haha I love the weird stuff in Zelda games <3

...Skyward Sword's mole person, the evil flying cat, the funny stuff that happened at night. All gold

But my fav, dat great fairy weirdo laugh XP http://lolbot.net/pix/23564.gif

No I didn't like switching into wolf form at all its one of the main reasons I still haven't finished the game yet.

The next Zelda needs to be open-world, and it needs to have a field. So, by that definition, it will naturally be more similar to Twilight Princess than it will be to Skyward Sword.

From the sounds of it, such as not having to complete dungeons in any particular order, it sounds like they're already going this route with the new game. I'm not worried at all.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

I also like the weird ones  but the chicken folks were just ugly not even funny or whatever.  The game constantly told you about the ancient race that now lives behind the clounds  and after I saw how awesome the Zora Queen looked like etc  I expected angel like beings with huge wings just looking awesome all day.

And what did I get? Human chickens mutants with sagging boobs  WTF....

I stopped playing Twilight Princess then. (bought in on Wii launch day!) 2012 was when I came back and finished the game LOOL
