Forums - Gaming Discussion - A Case for a More "Adult" Pokemon

I too have stopped buying Pokemon, yet X/Y might change that.

As for the mature theme? I don't mind how it is now, I'm just happy they made it 3D so that it changes a bit.

Ever heard of Jade Cocoon? It's basically what you described. And it failed. Hard.

Holy stir, best first post I have seen in a thread in a long time.

OT: Yes, I would gladly prefer all of the changes by the OP. Being it Nintendo I would consider a console game even with the Disney look a huge victory

Really, the pokemon formula is addicting the thing is almost every games feels the same, it is stagnent. I will certainly not buy a handheld for one game especially when tablets can easily emulate the simple controls of pokemon and most turn based JRPGs for that matter.

I would buy it.

Guess another game must be done right, and marketed like hell.

The mature audience is nowhere close to the child friendly Pokemon audience. But it can still sell a few million+ I think.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I doubt Nintendo themselves would do something like this as most of their big games follows the same family friendly theme. And besides, fans always go mad over change. If Nintendo did do something like this, they would have to change the name to something else and call it a new IP so to not offend anyone.

But they'll never do it though. Hopefully some other developer comes along and makes a realistic games with elements from Pokemon, regardless of what console it releases on.

Been hitting the Pokemon juice early son, I see. For shame.

A "mature" pokemon is about as likely as seeing a "mature" Mario come from Nintendo.

Ya, I know. Hope MS or Sony rip this off and adopt similar principles.
