Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 resembles Microsoft's leaked concept of NextBox, doesn't it?

After reading about the system Sony unveiled today I had the feeling that it quite resembled the leaked infos of MS's description on what NextBox will be. I didn't directly find the whole document but I found this (of course outdated, look at RAM) pic:

Looking at this pic I think the design of both systems is a take and give from both sides. Two systems, a core one and a "gaming" one while the core system will be very low power for "always on", same interfaces, ODD and HDD...

So what are your thoughts on how similar both systems will be?

UPDATE:

Found this on arstechnica: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2012/06/leaked-document-points-to-299-xbox-720-for-2013

Even cloud gaming is mentioned there...

This doesn't look anything like it.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

You have never been to my comparison thread have you? (see sig)

I hope they are similar. Will make it easier for developers to port multiplatform games onto each system.

Sony's copying skills have reached new heights it seems. They're announcing their copies even before the original company. Eventually they'll figure out a way to steal ideas before they're even formed.

No idea is safe. The world will know the power of Sony!

Why would it differ in any way?
PS3 and XBox360 are also the same thing (different chips, identical goals, identical consumer targets)
MS still has a clear upper hand when it comes to 3D scanning stuff, though (there is a reason why MS bought up all these companies doing 3D research and development)

You are overdoing it. I didn't use the word "copy" but resemble. Perhaps Sony invented first and MS copied and their copied concept got leaked... It doesn't matter who was first, thread is just about how similar both systems are/will be.

Oh yes, I do! But you don't mention the "core"-system that appears in the pic in the OP, nor the "chip" Sony announced today for always-on and background-stuff! This will dramatically change power-usage when using the systems as a media-centre which is to me horrible with ps360...

lol

trust me.. we noticed

Why do people care so much about specs?

It's not gonna be whether a console has an extra gig of ram or something like that, that makes their system a success or not.

What I'm waiting for on the 720 is not its specs but to see its interface, its social capabilities, its controller, its kinenct features, its games, its relationships with netflix or tv stations, ect.

Now I might not care about each of those things, but I"m interested to see what they have to offer in those regards, versus whether their teraflops are more or less than Sony's.
