So, you don't own one? That was his question, I answered it, you confirmed it, but I'm not sure why you wrote all that. People that own one are happy with it, people that detract it do not. You proved my point. |
This could change my opinion: http://www.gamrreview.com/news/89785/watch-dogs-listed-for-wii-u/
I have a 3DS, I had a NES and SNES once, so, I like nintendo...
The thing is man, why did you bought it? Did you had PS3 or Xbox360? What are your favorite games on the WiiU?
I bought it because I was in the mood for a new system, I enjoy Nintendo software, it's price was reasonable, the Gamepad seemed like a neat way to control games and it could function as a tablet for what I would want a tablet for. Also, it had a very good selection of launch games.
Now, that said, most of the launch games were multiplats. I own a 360 so I could have played most games on it. I bought them on WiiU to try out the system and the Gamepad. Also, I wanted to venture into COD online for the first time and didn't want to pay an extra $50 for the privelage of playing over the internets.
Favorite games so far? NSMBU is outstanding fun, though I'm dragging my feat playing it because I don't want to finish it. It seems a bit on the short side but it's addictive and very fun. My most played game has been Blops2, mostly because I love the online. AC3 has gotten good use and BatmanAC is outstanding but I've been saving that for when I can sit down and focus on it when I'm bored with other titles. The Gamepad enhances that one nicely, in particular the gadget control and the speakers providing Alfred's audio. Definitely extra emersion compared to playing Batman AA on 360. I've also enjoyed Trine2 and have dabbled into NintendoLand, which seems cool but I haven't given it much time.
WiiU has also gotten solid use as a tablet for surfing the net on the couch, and as a Youtube player. When having a party and a girl wants to hear Will.I.Am on Youtube over the living room surround sound, it's way cooler to hand her a black tablet and she can touch it in than a controller.
I can appreciate people waiting to buy a WiiU. It could very well get a price drop this fall, and there are few exclusive titles to motivate a purchase as yet. Typically I wait a year before buying any system, but I was in a position where, after grinding through university and internships, I could blow a little cash and get hyped up in the launch. If you have a PS360 you can get most of the good games on those systems. But my point is that WiiU owners are typically very happy with their purchase. Just because you can enjoy multiplats on other sytems, doesn't mean you CAN'T enjoy them on WiiU. People who have been bashing the system's graphical abilities or potential typically haven't been WiiU owners.
And yeah, if games like WatchDogs come to WiiU - which it seems like they will - it will make me question my need to buy a PS4 or XBox720 in a year or two.
