Bullshit.

I'll be getting an Xperia Z with Dragontail glass because the S4 is gonna be made of cheap plastic.

lol

I always laugh at people who claimed this same bullshit with iPhone vs most android phones. Funny part is the "cheap plastic" actually is more durable than the glass. It nearly all cases of tests the Galaxy line was proven to whithstand more drops and other tests.

I'll stick to "cheap plastic" any day. Especially considering most people just wrap it in a case that is made of "cheap plastic".

Here's your durable plastic

Here's what Dragotrail glass is like

Phones are very fast enough for me, now I want the looks and durability.

1) glass broke, not the plastic

2) i could find plenty that show iphone breaking first... especially the full glass 4's

3) do you use a case?

I'm not defending iPhone, I'm getting the next Android flagship: Xperia Z. All high end smartphones are very fast, they don't stand out by specs, altough Xperia Z has amazing specs, what really stands out is the design of the phone and materials used. I don't think I'll need a case with Xperia Z, it will never scratch and I can wash it in water.

Spreading FUD, as always.

S4 isn't going to be made of cheap plastic. Of course it's going to use plastic, but every phone uses plastic.

Not every phone look like they're made out of cheap plastic. I prefer the Xperia Z which uses Dragontrail glass in front and back. It probably won't even break under a car.

I don't know why, I think you are a minority here thinking Samsung phones are made out of cheap plastic:

Oh, Sony has gone down on brand position and marketshare during the last year, and Samsung has outsold them almost 7:1.

We were talking about durability, not sales. I'll ignore you from now.

Cry me a river :)

Very mature of you.

What I find odd about the phone is it doesn't have a home button. Seems everything is moving to touch gestures.

So like... can i play skyrim on it?

I'm sorry but 8 cores is absolutely unnecessary. I have the Galaxy SIII (the gimped US version with a dual core) and whilst it may be kind slow and laggy (which has more to do with the android OS then anything else) it is for the most part, just fine.

If you get an efficient OS (like windows 8) then 2-4 cores is all you should ever need.

Funny. Your GS3 is more powerful than my Galaxy Nexus. Yet my phone is anything but slow and laggy. Hint: its not android but the crap samsung adds.... buy Nexus.

Yeah you're probably right. It's not too bad; just kind of annoying. Especially since my last phone had a single core 1 GHz processor and a quarter of the ram that the SIII has and it was much smoother performance wise (not to mention all of the high end games I've played on both had about the same graphics).

So as far as I can tell an optomized dual core phone is all the power you would really ever need.

I have owned a Galaxy S (Captivate) and my fiance currently owns an S3. They ALWAYS end up running like crap and the battery life becomes bad. She has to plug it in multiple times a day.

I doubt we will be buying another Samsung after this one.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Before you guys start arguing too much I think in terms of durability it's iPhone 4S < Galaxy S3 < iPhone 5. Up to the 4S iPhones were extremely fragile but the iPhone 5 uses a new "gorilla glass" that's extremely resistant. So you're both right haha

For the record: I'm an iPhone 5 user, I think the Galaxy S3 is cool and I'm sure the S4 is going to be great. I think neither iPhone nor Android users are stupid and think you should go for what fits your personal style better.

this is crazy, why the hell would a phone need an 8 core CPU and GPU? to play angry birds? what the fuck is this nonsense! 4 cores is MORE than enough!

this. I still don't know why some sp have more than 2 cores

im planning on getting the xperia Z, but in a year or two once the price is really down. the only reason why is because i have a galaxy wonder. one core. and its terrible, the thing is SLOW. so im getting a 4 core mobile just because i got bit in the ass with a single core phone.

I have a Lumia 920 and it is so f*cking good. I love it (until now). Xperia Z is really cheap in my city, but I don't want one

and now that you said, my brother has one single core sp and hell, it's soooooo slow.

to be fair also, samsung did a SHIT of a job on this phone. sometimes it literaly takes me 2-3 minutes to just make a phone call. really? i mean stop what im doing, close the app or broweser or what ever, open the dailer and call takes 2 or 3 minutes? plus the phone keeps lagging, software keeps fucking up. its not just my model, both my brothers have it and we all have the same problems. i will never, ever buy a samsung phone again. ill go back to sony.

s3 here, works great :P don't know much about wonder but perhapes it's time to go custom firmware? xda-devs is your friend.

get an app that checks apps that run ads, if there are a lot running in the background then they will get slow no matter the phone and drain your battery

ill still get the xperia Z over this, its still got the plastic tacky look to it
