The review as a work of writing is fine. He makes points and backs them up with his reasons. Do I agree with the overall score? I don't know I haven't played the game, but I appreciate the insight into the games short comings. If there is a meta score in the low 70's there must be shortcomings considering most reviewers consider 75 average.

Lol, OP needs to chill the hell out, Dead Space 3 is generally reviewed a lot lower than the two first games. Same goes for Resident Evil 6 and Silent Hill, which has been steadily moving downwards. The survival horror genre is dying, slowly but certainly and poor action elements are being tacked on in all these games.
The reviews clearly reflect this, these games are not full fledged action and certainly not true survival horror so the only ones to blame for "bad" (i.e; mediocre) review scores are the developers.

I've seen my friend play it and honestly from my first impressions, I'd give it at least 7/10. It's a decent game and they've added some cool things, like the weapon system for instance. However, the review is his own opinion and as long as it's well argued, then it's fine by me. A poorly written review is entirely different from a negative one.

Runa has an antagonistic personality, and that helps him to generate page views. If you don't like his reviews, don't read them, simple as that.

Personally I think he creates more harm than good to gamrreview, but I'm not the one who decides who writes for that page.

Don't pay attention. He did the same kind of senseless and irrelevant mauling for FFXIII-2. Dead Space is still at 78 on Metacritic, FFXIII-2 is 79 (7/10 by readers) : Gordon is just not on the same wavelength as the rest of the gaming world.
