He is the God of War creator so you can take his opinion with a grain of salt.

On the other hand I don't think this is too far fetched at least for many gamers. R&C was an excellent game and it beats Mario on the graphic and humor front with one hand tied behind its back. (Captain Quark is awesome, the pirates are unbelievable funny)

Most reviewers seem to think that SMG is a better game and I can accept that, there are some areas where R&C could have been polished a bit (it is far too easy). But I think its in the same weight-class.

Never played ratchet but i agree that i don't see the big deal with SMG.
