Forums - Nintendo Discussion - EA continues to defecate on Nintendo

Boycotting EA? Thank God the masses don't think like you. FIFA is one of the biggest sports IP and not having that, or that game not selling well on Nintendo consoles will only continue to let EA ignore Nintendo.

Their sport games don't impress me.  NBA Live looked and played like shit (hence why they haven't released one in a few years).  NFL2K was of equal quality to Madden if not better (monopolize NFL to cut out competition).  Sure FIFA might be a decent game but they supported it like shit on the Wii (FIFA 13 was almost identical to FIFA 12 on Wii).

This is the year Wii U gets 2 gamepad support and full features for Madden. You can't judge a new system by a game that has no legs/most people buy within first month, not to mention a gimped version (no physics....what madden fans been complaining about for yrs).

I don't understand these boycotts. Why would anyone boycott EA to have their games on their console?

I started my boycott because they wouldn't release another General Chaos back in the late 90s.  I didn't really care what console it came out on (considering I bounced from the Genesis - PS1 - N64 during those days) I was just upset that some of my favorite series (Magic Carpet, Command and Conquer, Road Rash, etc) were neglected/ruined by EA while they were considered the king of sequels.  I am mainly upset at what happened during the 90s/2000s (gaining exclusive rights to NFL).  Whatever EA does now is just icing on the cake for me to continue to not like them.  It seemed like they were making a change for the better a few years ago but I am afraid that was a false sense of change.

I was born hating EA. It's just a part of my life.

They don't want to play their games but still want them deep inside to help the console sell. So, when EA have already begun this "defecation", there is no other choice for the Nintendo gamer but to boycott. They don't want their games anyway! Win-win

But, we all know Third Party games don't sell on Nintendo consoles anyway!

Outside of Madden, FIFA and BioWare creations (Mass Effect and Dragon Age), what has EA done within the last few years worth noting?

That being said, it is up to Nintendo to make companies such as EA and others regret the decision since they messed up their own launch by not having enough actual original software to move the system.

Yes, that's because of the constant boycotts!

That and that Nintendo Gamers don't buy Third Rate Party titles, of course.

Keep boycotting them just because of their feelings with Nintendo. EA has had some of the finest third party titles this gen has had to offer.

Such as? Haven't bought a single EA game this entire gen, and most of the last. Better yet, the last EA game I bought was probably SimCity 4, right before their influence ruined Maxis and SimCity with it. Or The Third Age on GC, whichever is older.

Speaking in general:

Pretty much everything they put out sucks outright, because they don't care in the slightest what games they publish. It's so obvious they're 110% in it for the money and have no pride or code of honour whatsoever. From a pure gaming point of view, if this is true and EA's lost to Nintendo, I don't care one bit and they're not going to be missed.

I definitely hold kind of a grudge against EA for what happened to Bullfrog and OSI, but they have released some decent stuff too, and Nintendo's consoles could really do with their support.

The FIFA series has really come into its own this generation, and Mirror's Edge probably sneaks into my top 10 for the generation so far, despite all the flaws. (C'mon EA, you make sequels for every other god damn thing, where's my free-running at?)
