Forums - Nintendo Discussion - EA continues to defecate on Nintendo

Either one of their teams of bean counters or some executive with decision making power took a look at the numbers from the last versions published on the Wii and then took a look at the current hardware and soft sales for the Wii U and came to the conclusion that releasing certain new titles on said platform was a high risk, low potential reward proposition that would likely net little or no profit, or it's a Giant Conspiracy against Nintendo because no successful game publishing company actually wants to be able to make more profits by publishing on as many viable platforms as possible regardless of whether it's Nintendo's or any other company's.

I'm going with the former.

So this is the unprecedented partnership EA talked about eh?

It's a business decision nothing more, nothing less.
I guess its not profitable for them to support nintendo.

Looking at the madden sales on nintendo, I would agree with them.

Considering it took less than 6 months supposedly and lacked the new physics engine and some other features then it is no wonder.

Honestly Nintendo is the one that needs to wear Depend, not EA..

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Or is it the other way around?

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

That's logic and there's only one thing similar between Nintendo conspiracy fans and women, both don't get logic.....

I thought they had to release Madden on all home consoles due to having a monopoly on the NFL? I suppose they don't considering they pulled their Madden handheld support.

company people don't have feelings man so it is silly to presume that this has anything to do with Nintendo crapping all over their Origin shit system

not that EA wold support WiiU more if Nintendo went along with Origin

Outside of rumors..is there anything to even back up this notion of origin fallout?

the way EA is treating them now I guess since they supported Wii why not WiiU?

also they where going to work closer with Nintendo and release more content as they said at E3 2011

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Evidently EA doesn't agree with themselves, because they continued publishing Madden and FIFA on Wii through the 2013 editions, despite it being a dead system by then. And surely made some kind of profit, since FIFA 2013 was literally just a reskin of the previous Wii version, and still sold almost half a million copies.

I would say Wii was an easy port? Or they saw the sales declining trend?

Wii U they need to consider the nintendo's IPAD?
