Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii U gamepad - do you like it or not?

At first I was hesitant and thought it would be werid to get used to.

Played it at a gamestop and it felt great.

Since owning it the only problem I've had was getting used to it on Batman cause I was too used to the PC controls.

i love it, i expect a sleeker redesign though, its really too big
other than that, it works on expanding the videogaming experience and its a flawlessly executed piece of tech

I tried it for about an hour and I find it to big way too big and the analog sticks are too far apart. I enjoy FPS mostly and I can't imagine myself playing for a long period of time with it because of the length of the analog sticks. This is why I enjoy the PS3 controller, analog sticks are parallel and are close to one another.

Yes, you can control the right analog stick with the left thumb and vice versa. Quite handy in a pinch.

I first tried it at one of the Wii U Experience things that Nintendo was doing and I was surprised at how light and comfy it was right away, even right now, the touch screen is really sensitive for me even though it's resistive so I'm pretty happy with it overall since I sometimes take it to the rest room with me to browse the web or watch videos on since it's technically on a LAN line rather than being wireless so it's faster than my tablet for just looking at the web etc lol. still waiting for this thing to come out though http://www.nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=Power+Pak+for+Wii+U

I like it.
The Gamepad is comfortable to hold and the Touch Screen can be used in some interesting ways. It's nowhere near heavy and I like the way the buttons are set up, it works for me and I have quite small hands.

Like it, it does everything that it has and many more. Light, comfortable, one hand not a problem

I like it, Nintendo controllers are always well ergonomically designed.

The Wiimote and the Wii U gamepad are the least comfortable and they just feel really weird. (in My opinion)

I absolutly love it. In fact I can see it becoming my favourite controller so far. I was really surprised by how light and comfortable I find it. Plus I think the touchscreen opens up a tonne of possibilites for games. I don't think people who call it a gimmick have really thought it through to be honest. (This is coming from someone who was never impressed by the Wii's motion controls).

I think the Wii controller itself is fine, but if you use the condom or motion plus and condom it gets strange :D
