The funny thing with that is, we actually went to get a Sega Saturn but my Dad got us a PS1 because it was cheaper. Of course the same thing applied to games--so instead of Street Fighter Alpha, we got Street Fighter the Movie. XD

Plus for fighting games, Sega Saturn Model 2 pad>>>> ps1 pad........... so you got a raw deal twice

I buy every console I ever own on launch day/week except for the Xbox and Xbox 360.

Xbox 1 year later

Xbox 360 almost 1 1/2 later

SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, WiiU, GameBoy Advance, DS and 3DS on Launch day/week
Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, Saturn, DreamCast, Nomad and GameGear on Launch day/week
PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, PSP Go and Vita on Launch day/week
Atari Jaguar on Launch day
Neo Geo pocket on launch week Neo-Geo X Gold order on launch day but received a month later
Turbo Graphix 16 on launch week

Might miss some console.

Bought the Wii and Dreamcast at launch so that would be the soonest. The longest after launch had to probably be the PS3 because I waited until Final Fantasy XIII released.
