Fair enough. I would give Disney the advantage because of its longevity, its influence, and its greatness.
Remember that Snow White was revolutionary. It was the first animated feature film.
Add to that Pinocchio, Dumbo, Fantasia, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and several others. Disney started making animated movies in 1937. It's a huge head start.
But Ghibli definitely deserves a high spot. And I agree it's better than Pixar.

You know what, you're right. I completly forgot how far back Disney films go! Disney then Pixar although from 2000 to present it's Pixar >>> disney
1. My Neighbour Totoro (2nd favourite film ever. There are no words for how amazing this is.)
2. Grave of the Fireflies (3rd favourite film ever, again, simply amazing.)
3. Spirited Away (Somewhere around my 11th favourite film ever, A great film.)
Studio Ghibli is definitely my favourite studio ever. Everything they have ever put out is great.
1 . Spirited Away
it was the first film that opened my eyes to studio Ghibli even though I had already seen Castle of Cagliostro and enjoyed it ,spirited away was the one that made me look at the studio itself .
.
2. Kiki's delivery service
I don't know why it just clicked with me .
3 Porco Rosso
because who said pigs can't fly .

Boutros said: I have only seen like 7 of them though. 1. Grave of the Fireflies (Actually my favorite WWII movie) 2. My Neighbor Totoro (Beyond charming) 3. Castle in the Sky (The first Studio Ghibli movie I've seen) |
Yes grave of the fireflies is a lovely film a friend of mine who's mother is Korean got her to watch it since her mother was one of the tens of thousands of korean women forced to "entertain" japanese troops during the war . and although she liked the narrative she had mixed emotions about it found it to be a bit one sided.

1 - Porco Rosso : loved the atmosphere and the real world backdrop and the character i could most identify with
2 - Princess Mononoke : Had some of the best action scenes from Ghibli and had real world messages behind it
3 - Kiki's delivery service: First Ghibli movie that I saw and find it incredibly charming
Honourable mention to: Howl's Moving Castle and Laputa Castle in the sky
