Screw graphics, you know what we're gonna see in Zelda Wii U? Asymmetric co-op.

It's all right there in Nintendoland. Link's gonna slash things up with a wiimote while Zelda perforates baddies with the bow of light.

You know what? I should be a goddamn game designer.

It certainly sounds like you could do more for the series than Aonuma :)

Did Aonuma not suggest such a possiblity in the Nintendo Direct?

Yea, he did meantion multiplayer. But I doubt he'll follow through, since dissapointment seems to be the general theme of his zelda games.

I hope to god it's not multiplayer, it just wouldn't feel right playing a zelda game multiplayer.... Maybe that's just me...

And that's your personal opinion, since for me, SS was by far one of my favorite game this gen with xenoblade.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

Relegate cel-shading to the handhelds. Skyward Sword tried to mix both semi-realism with cel-shading and got a bad mashup, adopting the extreme cons of both yet none of the positives.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Nevermind. wrong thread..

Go Valkyria Chronicles style.

Which is basically Skyward Sword, except SS has less of an anime bent in character models.

They said they're not doing toon graphics. They're doing a combination of different art styles that has become something new.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

This is about what I expect. Nintendo may stick to a diverse color pallate or even a painterly approach improving on Skyward Sword, but cel-shading is not necessary for a console Zelda. Especially one looking to take advantage of Wii U's hardware.

The first time I saw WW, I rant on it, hard, for it's visual! But after I just played the game, I found out I was closed-minded. So after that, I don't care how it looks...

Of course it's my opinion :P It would be hard for me to propagate some other dudes opinion.

I think it does hold some merit though, considering SS and WW sales.

I LOVE ICELAND!

when talking artistic design, Skyward Sword is done very well given the graphical restraints of the Wii.

It's art certainly wasn't as maligned by gamers as Wind Waker's, I'll give it that.

In technical terms, I'd say Skyward Sword is very disappointing graphically. Blurry textures, bugger all shaders, mediocre geometry, 30fps... games like Metroid Prime 3 prove the Wii is capable of so much more.

That said, I still found it a great game thanks to the motion controlled combat and elegant dungeon design.

I want them to do what they feel is right. Would I tell my favourite band how to write their next album? No. We're talking about art here people, consider that for a minute. It's not all just a market and a product and a strategy and shit.
