Here are the breakdowns for Sony's Q3 results - http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/12q3_sony.pdf

1. Gaming Division posts 6 million profit

Gaming division is negatively impacted by the ongoing costs related to RD (PS4). As result, Sony posts a rather poor quarter.

2. Sony posts 115 million loss

Ongoing costs from restructuring and its TV business have negatively impacted Sony's third quarter. As a result, Sony posted 115 million loss.

3. Sony expects a net profit for year-end

The ongoing selling of Sony's assets should help offset the losses incurred from Q1-Q3 (over 500 million) based on the selling of the NYC building for over 600 million. Furthermore, Sony claims that their financial business is one of their strongest pillars moving forward. In the end, Sony expects profits of over 200 million by year-end.
