i prefer games so my recommendation is vita.  as you have ps+ you'll be entertained for months with no additional cost.

If you want games, then get a Vita

If you want a tablet, get a Nexus 7

A kindle fire may be cheaper than a nexus 7, but it will be far more limited

Out of the two get PS vita, if you want a tablet get Nexus 7, it's far superior to a Kindle Fire

Two entirely different products really. If you want to play some real immersive games then the choice is obvious. I think your avatar answers the question for you (if FFX HD ever comes out).

If you want a solid portable experience go for the Vita... if not Kindle and Nexus tabs are both decent choices IMO

Do you want Book or Games? Apps or Games? Etc. or Games?

If you want games go for the Vita.
If you want multi-media go for the Kindle Fire HD.

I would go with the Vita although you probably already made your choice by now.

Nexus 7. You'll get plenty of games (not as good as Vita but eh, whatever) and the ability to do soooooo much more with the device.
